The SKS Foot Trimming Service Ltd operates mainly in the counties of Surrey, Kent, Sussex, Hampshire and Dorset (where we have a second base). We can travel anywhere in the South if there are enough cows to trim! We aim to provide an independent, reliable and professional service for both preventative and curative trimming using the 'Dutch Method' for which we have both trained and qualified to Category 1 . (A category 3 or 4 trimmer is not qualified and has not passed a stringent practical and theory examination) A printed report detailing work on each animal is left on farm and we have instant access to past trimming records enabling us to consult whilst the cow is still in the crush. The report left also shows statistics on that visit, or over a period on time which can be compared to a summary of everyone else's statistics We are members of the
National Association of Cattle Foot Trimmers (NACFT)
and we work closely with the local vets and we are fully insured and
recommended. I am also on the Nacft committee and run their website. |
